This article follows on from Part 1. The guest experience of the future will be created by means of thought energy and heart energy. Individual hotels as well as hotel groups will compete with each other in the area of the body’s energy and will be able to charge premiums if they succeed. A hotel group will disappear if it does not implement energy principles throughout its properties. It will not matter who you are, how big your hotel group is or what tradition you have behind you. If you fail in the connected areas of thought energy and heart energy, your business will not grow.
Here are 3 more scientific principles, which if hotel groups were to implement and apply just one of them, the guest experience globally could be completely transformed within 1 or 2 years.
3. Our Beliefs, Thoughts, Feelings, and Emotions Impact the World Around Us
Our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs shape and re-arrange the world we live in. The language of the Matrix is human emotion, feeling, and belief. Literally, when we change the way we feel, we change and rearrange the stuff and atoms of the world around us. Even the shape of our DNA changes according to our emotions (eg. love, compassion, hate, rage, etc.), and discovering this has opened up new ways to cure illnesses, which traditional methods cannot cure. Indeed, such is the energy of thoughts, beliefs, intention, and emotion, it is easy to increase the growth of plants and crops, and change the structure of water by means of one’s thoughts so that it is healthier to drink. The possibilities for hotels are enormous.
Surely there is a corporate office somewhere that can see the business potential here, and which would like to lead the change in the nature, spirit, and feeling of the guest experience.
Religions and ancient traditions have said for millennia that our personal reality is created by what we focus our feelings and emotions on, and science is now verifying this. We create in our hearts and our imaginations the experiences we would like to have, and the mirror of the Matrix reflects this back to us. Human feeling and human belief are the language of reality creation.
If you want to create a guest experience with a high emotional value, then increase the vibration of your management and staff using the methods in Part 1 and you will transform your hotel. There are actually at least 13 Pillars to creating Heart-Based Hospitality, but those methods alone will help you a lot. Simply focusing on SOPs and efficiency creates an experience with a much lower vibration. Worse still, it prevents your staff from being the people they truly are by nature, and this affects the guest experience. It is no wonder that hotels are always wondering how to motivate their staff, and why there is constant staff turnover.
4. The Body Creates a Powerful Electromagnetic Energy Field.
The creative power of human emotions was in the descriptions of the books taken out of western traditions, although it was never taken out of other traditions, such as Native American traditions and those in Peru and in the Andes. Modern science is showing that when we have strong feelings, not only are there changes inside our body, but there are also changes outside our body.
The world around us is primarily electrical and magnetic. Hotels can use this to their advantage by reducing the almost total focus on the left side of the brain caused by the over-emphasis on SOP-Customer Satisfaction training, and by spending more time developing their staff’s capacity to show loving-kindness, compassion, heart-warming care in their service. It is very easy to do.
In the human body the largest generator of electrical and magnetic energy is the human heart. It has about 100 times the power of the brain to create an electrical field and over 5,000 times the power of the brain to create an electro-magnetic field. The language of the heart is where the power is packed to change the hotel guest experience. Sales & Marketing departments will one day discover that they can use this knowledge combined with emotional visualization to increase sales.
Teach your staff how to visualize themselves (using all 5 senses and with emotion) creating a guest experience that has a high emotional value, and give them a spiritual quotation as the standard for the spirit of emotion and loving-kindness. Quotations rich in natural imagery work best. They should see themselves doing it; feel the happiness of having already achieved, done, or created what they want to do; and feel intense gratitude and happiness. The Field recognizes the language of emotion, gratitude, and appreciation. The more intense the feelings and the energy, and the more often you do this, the bigger the effect on the guest experience and on the energy field of the hotel.
The heart’s electromagnetic field not only envelops every cell of the body, but also extends out in all directions into the space around us. The cardiac field can be measured several feet away from the body, and research conducted shows that the heart’s field is an important carrier of information. The brain decodes the information in the heart energy, which the body receives from other people. This is why you feel a sudden liking or disliking for people you have never met before, or for a room or area. In the future the hotel industry will recognize the usefulness of this.
5. Everyone’s Energy Field is Connected
Fairly recently western science made a revolutionary discovery that changes everything about the way we think of ourselves and the world, and which hoteliers can benefit from. What they found is that when we create heart-based feelings of loving-kindness, heart-warming care, compassion, gratitude, and appreciation, for example, we are actually generating a magnetic field inside our body that affects in a small way the magnetic field of the Earth, and which itself undergoes change as a result.
The Earth’s magnetic field rises, falls, and regulates everything from climate to the ice caps and sea levels. This magnetic field joins all life on Earth from plants, to insects, to animals, to us. When many of us come together and create a common feeling, that experience is called “coherence.” “Coherence” can actually be measured. It is 0.10 Hertz. The following is an example of the power of coherence.
In September 2001 two G.O.E.S. satellites 22,000 miles in space began to register remarkable changes in the magnetic field of the planet when humans were having feelings about the September 11th destruction of the World Trade Center. This was a surprise to N.A.S.A. scientists. The peaks started 15 minutes after the first plane hit the World Trade Centre. They asked, “How could people experiencing this possibly affect the magnetic field of the Earth? There’s no connection, right?” Well, wrong. They found that there is a connection. Coherence sends out strong energy that influences the world around us. Hotels can benefit enormously by taking advantage of this.
It is easy to teach people how to create coherence in their body and everyday lives. It is a way of being and feeling in our heart, and it is very easy to learn. When we create this coherence inside our bodies, it triggers about 1,400 biochemical changes. Anti-aging processes begin. Our immune systems become really strong. We think more clearly. Also, when we become coherent using high vibration thoughts and emotions we become softer and softer, especially when we do this in conjunction with other techniques, a few of which have been mentioned above, and this is an invaluable part of creating the higher levels of guest experience.
6. Conclusion.
The electromagnetic signals generated by the heart have the capacity to affect others around us and to create higher, more emotional levels of guest experience. One person’s heart signal can affect another’s brainwaves. Historically, we have been taught that we are passive observers in the universe, having little effect during our life. Science is showing that those beliefs are wrong. Through the Matrix that joins all things, scientists have shown that the “stuff” that the universe is made of – waves and particles of energy – responds and conforms to our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and emotions that we create in our lives.
Hotels and hotel groups can apply this knowledge very easily to change the nature and feeling of their guest experience, and to create levels of guest experience far above what they provide. Heart-Based Hospitality will bring to an end the ability of chains to clone an emotionless, corporate template to any chain hotel member in the world. It will enable hotels to create a guest experience where the human spirit is not bound by corporate chains.
Heart energy opens the door to guest experience levels far beyond what SOP-Customer Satisfaction can create. It will also bring an end to the many lamentable corporate vision statements, such as, “We meet and exceed the expectations of our customers, owners and shareholders. We have a passion for excellence …”
