The guest experience of the future will be created by means of thought energy and heart energy. Individual hotels as well as hotel groups will compete with each other in the area of the body’s energy and will be able to charge premiums if they succeed. In the future a hotel group will disappear if it does not implement energy principles throughout its properties. It will not matter who you are, how big your hotel group is or what tradition you have behind you. If you fail in the connected areas of thought energy and heart energy, your business will suffer.
The guest experience in the future will not focus on the contents of SOP (Standards of Performance) manuals like now. Hotels will compete over the softness and energy of the guest experience. The technology even exists to measure the electro-magnetic energy of staff, and one can be methodical in increasing the energy. Training will change dramatically. As a hotel increases the heart energy of its staff, the guest experience becomes unbelievably soft, and strong in loving-kindness, compassion, and heart-warming care. Can you see the limitless business potential in this?
The idea of using heart energy and spiritual capacity development to create soft and gentle, energetic and spiritual hospitality is too far before its time in the hotel industry. Indeed, I fear that it will take at least another generation before hotel groups will even begin to explore how they can use heart energy to transform their guest experience. Though they do not realize it, it will be the source of immense future wealth for hotels. The hotel groups that hurry to understand the body’s electro-magnetic energy field and apply knowledge about heart energy will have a huge advantage.
The rational, left brain-centred, SOP-Customer Satisfaction guest experience is an obstacle to change because it is based in the mechanistic physics of Sir Isaac Newton whose world view was superceded by the Quantum worldview in the early twentieth century.
Even the most traditional corporate offices will surely not deny that there is a growing realization amongst hoteliers and the public that the guest experience that hotels serve up feels mechanical and lacks emotional value. To be able to create a spiritual and energetic Heart-Based Hospitality guest experience hoteliers generally will have to understand a little about heart research and quantum science, and know how to apply what has been discovered.
This article is not a science lesson, but unless hoteliers understand some of the fundamentals, in a generation hotels globally will still be focusing on the emotionally dull SOP-Customer Satisfaction experience; and corporate vision statements will still be saying, “We meet and exceed the expectations of our customers, owners and shareholders. We have a passion for excellence…” Such nonsense makes me want to scream.
Changing beds, room amenities, furniture design, the minibar, layouts, lobbies, and other material aspects of a guest’s stay will not enable hoteliers to create higher energetic and emotional levels of guest experience. Science has so much to offer the hotel industry, and so it is sad to see corporate office refusing to open their eyes and minds to the contribution that science can make to the industry.
In particular, the hotel industry would benefit so much by understanding that:
1. Everything is made of vibrating energy.
2. Everything is connected to everything else. Everybody is connected to everyone else.
3. Our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and emotions impact the world around us according to the vibration of the energy.
4. The body creates a powerful electromagnetic energy field.
5. Everybody’s energy field is connected.
If hotel groups applied even just one of these 5 scientifically proven facts, the guest experience globally could be completely transformed within 1 or 2 years. But where is there a listening ear?
1. Everything is Made of Vibrating Energy.
This is very important for hoteliers to understand, and with this scientific fact alone, hotel groups can assure their financial success and security for decades to come. Human beings are vibrating energy. We are not solid. The universe and our physical environment are not solid. There is nothing solid about matter either. Matter is composed of vibrating energy and is 99.99% space and information. It is completely unsubstantial. Our thoughts and feelings are energy and impact the world and people around us positively or negatively according to the vibration of our thoughts and feelings. A loving or compassionate thought has a higher vibration than a hateful thought, for example.
This has been proven beyond doubt, and is invaluable knowledge for the hotel industry because staff can be taught how to change their own vibration, and how to change the energy given out by the heart so that it not only affects guests nearby or throughout the hotel more positively, but also changes the spirit and energy of the hotel. Just think of the effect and benefits for your hotel business, if all of the staff were taught how to do this!
By touching the hearts and emotions of hotel staff with certain kinds of music and stories; short meditations, such as love energy meditations; heart coherence techniques; creative visualization techniques; a continuous deepening programme that focuses on the core spiritual values of hospitality; and by means of combinations of these, amongst other ways, the hearts of the staff can be softened so that they feel a strong desire to focus on thoughts about loving-kindness, heart-warming care, compassion, and empathy.
The staff will think and behave differently. Their heart energy will change and become coherent, and this can affect guests close by positively. The energy is measurable, even 2-3 metres away! Surely even corporate folks who wish to lie on their death bed clutching their emotionless SOP manuals as they die can see the business potential here.
This is not hairy-fairy or hippie New Age fantasy. It is the heart research and quantum science, which hotel corporate offices seem to be choosing to ignore. The knowledge and techniques go back at least 5,000 years. If they are skeptical, they can even prove that thought and heart energy is real simply by sending different kinds of thought and heart energy to plants in their offices, and by seeing what happens. Send love energy every day and see the change in the growth. Or look for the evidence online as experiments to demonstrate the effect have been carried out so many times already.
This approach causes the staff’s heart energy and body’s vibration to change positively in a way that can be measured and felt, and the staff’s inner beauty becomes more visible as a result. As the heart energy of more and more staff changes, the stronger is the effect of the resulting vibration on the guests, the guest experience, and the physical environment of the hotel.
It is not a coincidence that hotels which focus on the emotionally flat SOP-Customer Satisfaction concept have an emotionally flat feeling about them. The energy in those hotels has a lower vibration (you can feel the difference), and this lower vibration is visible in the body language of the staff, especially in their eyes, which reflect the energy of their heart and of the body’s energy field.
2. Everything is Connected to Everything Else. Everybody is Connected to Each Other.
There is a Matrix that connects everything and everyone. The Matrix (or Field, as it is also called) is an intelligent field of energy or consciousness, which western science has proved exists and which it is just coming to understand, even though the most ancient traditions devised many ways to apply it to benefit peoples’ lives. The Matrix connects us all. It mirrors back to us our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and this is very relevant to hoteliers because it helps to account for the energy and spirit of a hotel.
Up until the late-20th century, science told us that everything is separate from everything else. Now we know as a scientific fact that the Matrix exists. Think of it like a spider’s web with yourself or your hotel being on one of the strands. This Matrix is the conduit that carries our thoughts, feelings, and emotions out from our physical bodies into the world around us. They impact the “stuff” in this Matrix and make it conform to what we have in our hearts. We are always interacting with it, and we create through the energy and vibration of human emotion. … Yes, science has moved on a lot since our school days, hasn’t it? This is why corporate offices should smell the new flowers.
Since Einstein’s discovery that everything is made of energy, science has been proving what the ancient traditions and religions have been saying all along about the creative and attractive power of the energy in our thoughts and emotions. With this understanding alone, the hotel industry could soar to unimagined levels. Greatness is waiting around the corner, but corporate offices have settled for mediocrity, and hotels generally have contented themselves with imitation.
The Matrix is very relevant to the hotel industry because your hotel is a miniature part of it. It reflects back the vibration created by the beliefs, thoughts, and feelings of your management and staff. In the pervasive, traditional SOP-Customer Satisfaction experience the focus is on standards, duties, and efficiency and not on the spirit of love and genuine hospitality. The Field of the hotel reflects this energy. Walk around your hotel and ask yourself if you feel a high vibration (i.e. a warm feeling). To change the vibration of the hotel you have to work on the beliefs, thoughts, and feelings of your staff, and to do this, you have to work through the heart by creating coherent heart rhythms and positive, high vibrating emotions associated with love.
It is easy to do, but you cannot use traditional, western hotel group ways to do it as they focus on the left side of the brain. This is why copying the methods of the western hotel groups will never create for you a guest experience, which is strong in loving-kindness, compassion, and heart-warming care, and which has a high emotional value. In the future the hotel industry will create the guest experience through the heart because the heart produces the energy which influences the Field. The hotel is a part of the Field and this limited area of the Field can be influenced positively by changing the energy created by the staff’s thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and emotions.
Can you now start to see the relevance for the hotel industry of quantum science and heart research? … This is just a fraction of the relevance. But I fear that hotel groups cannot see it and will not be able to comprehend this for at least another generation.
